PINOT NOIR
2020 PINOT NOIR
LILLIAN
Comments:
John Brocksopp is a wine industry legend, having played a major role, as viticulturist for Leeuwin Estate and the development of Margaret River in the early days. In retirement, he tends his Pemberton vineyard and quietly makes some of WA’s best-value premium wines in an icy-cold, deep-set valley on Pemberton’s perimeter. His is a plush pinot style, reflecting the warmth of vintage, with ripe berry fruit, maraschino cherries, vanilla oak and a prickle of spice. In short, it’s a powerful pinot. The intensity and length are impressive. Flavours linger for minutes. While not a delicate, this is an extraordinary wine and worthy of a special occasion.
