2019 THE BOWMAN PINOT NOIR

Winemakers notes:
This wine is a blend of three different Pinot Noir clones; 40% MV6, 30% 777, 10% D5V12. Each Clone has a distinctive contribution to the final wine; MV6 gives palate weight and 777 bring bright berry fruit flavours, and whilst D5V12 bring freshness and structure.
Each Clone were harvested separately and fermented separately with an average of 10% whole bunch. All parcels were cold-soaked for 6 days before allowing wild fermentation to take place then followed by an inoculated yeast culture. The wine was pressed to 40% new and 60% older French Oak barriques for malolactic fermentation and maturation. Once oak integration was achieved, the wine was blended and filtered before bottling.
Tasting notes:
Aromatics of crushed black cherry and cranberry with hints of earthiness. On the palate you'll find concentrated flavours of black cherry and Satsuma plum. Enjoy the fine tannin structure and balanced acidity leading to a lingering complex finish.
